Beginning Sewing Workshop for Young Sewists



Ready to dive into the creative world of sewing? In this fun and hands-on introductory class designed just for kids, young creators will learn the essential building blocks of machine sewing. We will start with the absolute basics, focusing on sewing machine safety, mastering machine parts, and practicing straight stitches. Once students feel confident behind the machine, they will put their new skills to work by making a custom, full-size pillowcase from scratch! This course is perfect for beginners who want to build confidence, express their personal style through fabric, and take home a beautiful, functional project they can use every day.

Class requirements:
Participants must have bring:

1)  A working sewing machine
2)  Bobbins that fit their machine
3)  80/12 needle
4) Standard presser foot
5) Power cord and foot pedal
6) Owners manual for the sewing machine

We will provide a basic sewing kit consisting of a seam ripper, small scissors, thread and straight pins.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds if you cancel class.  If we have to cancel, a full refund will be provided.
